Garth Duke-Barton was appointed to the Whigham / Springhill Charge in June 2009 by South Georgia Bishop James King.  He is excited to be serving Christ in Southwest Georgia.

Garth married the former Rebecca Duke in July, 1998.  They have two sons, and a daughter. He has served in Alexandria, VA, Timonium, MD, Cordele, GA, Macon, GA, Deepstep, GA and Fort Gaines, GA prior to coming to Whigham. 

Rev. Duke-Barton began his ministry working with youth in 1993.  He was ordained an elder in the South Georgia Conference in 2000.  He holds degrees from the University of South Carolina and Wesley Theological Seminary, in Washington, DC.

Garth is passionate about bringing people to Christ and sharing new insights into God.
